I had only talked to Jay and Emily once prior to their big day, we hadn't had a chance to talk very much about details so I wasn't entirely sure what to expect! We had only talked on the phone so I wasn't even sure who I was looking for! But immediately upon walking into the church Jay saw me and introduced himself and told me where to find the bride. The entire day was beautifully laid out and planned! Jay and Emily were amazing to work with and SO in love and SO excited to get married! As you will very soon see.
When I met Emily I asked her when she was planning on getting into her dress and she said "right before I walk down the aisle". But every time I would come back in the room I feel like she had a new item on, first it was earrings, then it was shoes...
So many laughs! How gorgeous is she???
Emily's grandpa and grandma officiated! I got a chance to talk to both of them throughout the day, they both were so sweet! They were clearly so proud of their granddaughter and were so elated to be apart of the big day! Emily's grandma helped me out and would tuck in my tag when she saw it sticking out! :]
Emily had to use some elbow grease to get that ring on there!
Emily's grandfather from her moms side wasn't in good health, they advised me that we needed to do family photos because he needed to leave because he wasn't doing well. When he came through the receiving line he went in for a hug and stopped to tell her something. He spoke into her ear for a few moments and gave her a kiss on the cheek. Such a sweet moment!
They did their little send off, got to the end of the sidewalk and then Emily said "But we've gotta go do pictures, so we're comin' back!" and Jay gave her a little spin and they headed back inside!
We got about 5 steps down and the best man Brian's pants split right up the crack!
This shot took some work, but we got it (a few grumpy motorists later)
We had to pass this spot to get down to the road and when we first arrived the sun was shining gorgeously through the trees but right as Jay and Emily got into place the sun went behind a cloud :[ Then right as we were heading back the sun came back out and even though we were running late they kindly indulged me and we got these shots!
Brian's Best Man speech was hilarious!
"There comes a time in a man's life when he meets the person he's meant to be with for the rest of his life, that day came for Jay 8 years ago when he met me"
Showing off his newly mended pants!
Next was Emily's best man Adam! They met at the mall :]
Dancing to "Footloose" (obviously)
Dancing with the mother of the bride!!
Such an awesome and beautiful day! So many memorable moments!
I also want to give a shout out to Taylor at Wedding Faktory for keeping the dance floor hot and Nick, Erik & Noran Radd from Clock Tower Creative for doing an awesome job filming the wedding video and for being insanely awesome to work with!
