Scott + Michelle | Married | Milwaukee Wedding Photographer

July 5, 2017

I was so excited for Scott and Michelle’s day, I had been looking forward to it since meeting them at their engagement session. I knew there were some festivals in Milwaukee so I was sure to leave early to allow for any traffic that might be happening. I was about 30 feet from the freeway entrance when all of the sudden police came and completely shut it down. I didn’t find out until late that evening on my way home that a particular powerful politician was in town and apparently that meant they needed to shut the entire freeway down? *le sigh* It ended up taking me 30 minutes just to get out of downtown Milwaukee! (the original travel time, door to door, was supposed to only take 32 minutes!!) It was one of the more stressful moments for me, I hate being late in general, but especially to a wedding. Michelle was the sweetest, I talked to her to let her know and she was calm and let me know that it was fine and to just drive safely. I’m so lucky to have clients that are so kind general, but in this particular situation I felt extra lucky! Once I made it, the whole rest of the day was gorgeous, every details was so lovely. Here are some of my favorite moments from the day!

The light at this location was stun-ning. <3
